Eligibility:
Post-docs with bioinformatics expertise to work in a variety of cancers including acute myeloid leukemia, multiple myeloma, and gastric cancer.  

The ideal candidate possesses a doctoral degree and demonstrates proficiency in next generation sequencing problems including:
  • Quality control of NGS data.
  • Detection of SNVs and SVs from whole genome, whole exome, targeted exome, and RNA-seq data.
  • Somatic mutation calling.
  • RNA-seq data analysis.
  • Familiarity with BWA, Bowtie, GATK, Samtools, TopHat/Cufflinks, R/BioConductor, and a major programming language (e.g. C++, Java).
  • Ability to implement next generation sequencing pipelines in parallelized environments.
  • Knowledge of statistics and machine learning for gene expression, classification, and GWAS-related disease contexts.
  • A translational interest in pushing genomics to improve cancer outcomes.
